Secret Fruits — Restaurant in Murakami

The restaurant is a bit small. Only a few tables. The quality of the chef’s menu is very good. We ordered a menus set for two.

First salad and bread. The salad and bread were both fresh. There was a generous amount of butter on the bread and it was moist and delicious.

Second was the pizza. The pizza was unique, fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked. Some of the best pizza I have had in Niigata. It had rare ham and asparagus. Not vegetarian but perfect for me. Simply delicious.

Third was the Risotto. The Risotto was tasty if not as fresh as all the other dishes. Not amazing but good enough.

The desert was last. It was a chocolate moose ice cream. Very tasty with fresh cut strawberries, pistachio pieces, and a sprig of parsley. The whole desert was marvelous, and complemented the meal perfectly.

I also had iced coffee and it was good with a small cup of cream and syrup.

The silverware, cup, and plate type and arrangement were noteworthy. Very stylish and felt like they were designed for the food they held.

The care and passion of the chef to the customer is evident in the quality of the food and presentation. If only the shop was bigger and had more tables, this place would be my go to for a pleasant lunch or relaxing dinner.
