Nagamigyemon Sushi — Restaurant in Murayama

Despite its name, this place serves teishoku! They have 4 things on the menu: tonkatsu, katsu, grilled fish, and tempura (the last two both subject to availability). We ordered the first 3, with the grilled fish being salmon. Everything was oishiiiiiiii! ✌🏻and so affordable! There were 6 of us, and we ordered a meal each and the bill was only JPY 4,800! To top it all off, the couple who served us (who I assume must be the owners) were very endearing and conversed with us even though they spoke little to no English (thank god for Google Translate, which they found amazing!). They even served us a dessert of frozen cherries (a Yamagata specialty!) for free!
