We arrived by bus in light rain, surrounded by towering walls of snow, to visit the main shrine. After our soaking hike there and back, we used Google Maps to locate this coffee hut 20 minutes off the road. Cutting through deep drifts, we finally spotted a small wooden refuge nestled among snowy pines and lots of trees.
Inside, warm timber walls, soft blankets, and sheer white curtains framing the forest felt like stepping into a cozy painting. My wife and I each enjoyed a multi‑course menu:
Starter: Spiced apple, house‑made bacon, and assorted bites
Main: Rich not that spicy curry / hearty beef stew
Dessert: Frozen yogurt with peach sauce
Drink: Coffee / tea with lemon cake / cheesecake
