Gushiken Tacos — Restaurant in Nago

Food is excellent. We had Tacos Rice and their burger and were impressed by the great quality of their food. The burger I prefer is the most expensive one at 2100 yen but it is worth the price.

The service staff are nice, but they have a quirky rule that customers must order a drink after 2pm. This is ok for us as we wanted to order drinks anyway but the compulsory order is always a minus.

One major drawback is the ventilation. This place has serious ventilation issues and I think the crew knows. I count 7 standing fans in operation but they are just moving the smokey air in an enclosed environment. The smokey air means this place is a big not for conversation over a meals and that your clothes will smell like BBQ.

Since I've been on island this has been my go to spot for some rather decent tacos, but they also have much more on their menu. Don't be fooled by their name they have plenty of other amazing dishes. From hamburgers to steaks and even tacos rice (his sauce is home made, amazing) but mainly what has me coming back is the atmosphere and the warming staff owned by a couple and their child. I highly recommend it and try their tacos first or their hamburger! Finally got try their champion steak today and was not disappointed (and I dont even like steak) so two thumbs way up!! ...

Honestly after others' reviews I was excited to try it. The restaurant has very particular rules (everybody has to get an overpriced drink after 1:45pm), is cash only, and very small inside, so they have you wait outside while they deal with other customers and/or clean tables. The burger tasted great, but the patty was the strangest "grind"/blend of beef I've ever had, basically a bunch of small pieces of steak mushed together. The fries were delicious. If they hadn't made me buy drinks we didn't want (water was available), I would've left in a much better mood....
