We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and all was well until the waitress came to collect my plate. I ate most of my food but was not a fan of the soup after I tried it, I also had a couple pieces of lettuce on the plate. But I ate 90% of the meal. I was proud of my kids for eating their veggies and rice and we were content with our meal overall. That all changed in an instant. The waitress became rude when she saw the small amount of leftover food on my plate. I was full, so my daughter ate some of the leftovers after the waitress scolded me to eat more. But apparently this still didn't satisfy the owners. They basically told us that we need to raise our children to eat all their food because children are starving in the world. The owners were FAR from nice. The waiters completely messed up the entire experience and also crossed the line with my daughter when she went to pay, by essentially attempting to scold her, and complaining about Americans. I have never had an experience like this in a restaurant and we will NOT be going back. I can appreciate the farm to table method, but I cannot tolerate rude behavior to a family who ate the majority of the meal and came to the restaurant to spend time with one another. Or talking negatively about my children. My child said she felt threatened. Customer service is non existent at this establishment and it is truly sad. Avoid it, there are other customer friendly...
Read moreWas here about a month ago after taking a trip to the Glasshouse with a small group. We had some free time, so I plugged “Vegan” into Google Maps and off I went! I don’t know how else to describe the atmosphere of this place other than “cozy” and “welcoming.” The color palette is warm and the decoration is well thought out. The food is a whole other level of delightful. When you order, the kitchen is right behind the large menu board. As you sit, you get to listen to, smell, and see a little of your meal being prepared right then. The delivered product is arranged nicely on the plate. Everything tasted wonderful, and I even had a few flavors I had never experienced before! 10/10, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to ANYONE passing through the area! At the very least, pick up a scone to take...
Read moreWe had an excellent time at niceness and I can best describe the experience as peaceful. The food is all organic, gluten-free and vegan and all grown on their family farm. The transfer of the ingredients from the earth to the plate is both meticulous and seamless and you can even watch the magic happen while you wait. The tea we had was perhaps the best tea we’ve ever had and the local honey used to sweeten it was good enough to buy from their small gift shop. A bonus was that a part of the proceeds go to increasing nectar plants on the island. Perhaps the highlight was the incorporation of nature into the restaurant and outdoor seating area which made for a wonderful ambiance that would alone be worth returning for. We loved the food, the service and the atmosphere and will...
