SPECIAL NOTE TO THE OWNER: please always make your words stay to the fact of your side and not to guess anyone personal life and not make its way to personal assault. Zero relevance here and you are making yourself less convincing. Come on restaurant owner/ entrepreneur. Please stick with your side of the story about the service issue and not using any kind of way to neglect the negative reviews all towards your/your staff altitude.
Don’t even worth a star! Extremely poor manner and heavy racism from the female staff(reckon to be the owner and not to mention how bazaar they said no bad manner or racism on their numerous poster in front and she started it asa we came in to look at the poster). They have parking instruction that was visually impossible to follow the instruction on the car and if we stop in front of the restaurant we will be on the drive way, and we came down to look and received very poor customer service straight to our face without us saying anything.
(Added comment from owner’s reply) And the owner should understand a correct definition of parking, I stopped my car temporarily to look at your small parking instruction, make it bigger next time mate! And it’s not fair to scare your customer to avoid lawsuit from your neighbors when you have done a bad job in instructing people with their car. And if you would like to speak on the national level, please seek approval from the government before you do that if you read the Japanese Law better.
Whatever security camera the owner might try to argue with other customers who rated you a star or below, what the staff has done is silent racism and inappropriate wording with discriminative body language and the owner must not understand as they have their own out of the world standard.
And they strictly prohibit any children to enter the house so children doesn’t have the legal right to dine in as set by the owner, felt like this is your country not just a shop, wow!
If you’re a tourist and not familiar with the space, 100% not recommend to go unless you walk up there and don’t dress like a kid or if you’re too short or young looking otherwise they don’t let you dine in! Please don’t support restaurant with bad manner and I have ZERO tolerance with people who don’t treat everyone with basic manner, not to mention a restaurant should be better manner to be in the service industry or the else of the world has done such a better job than your staff/owner. No one deserves to be treated like this.
(Added comment from the owner’s reply) oh so your staff all are tired? So that’s your problem then, I didn’t even heard a phrase at least for “thank you for your understanding” from your reply or when your staff was talking to me, so that’s your problem of not serving the customers right? Ugh? You and your staff haven’t given me a chance to understand the situation so is that my problem or your problem? That’s 100% yours.
Lucky they can still survive up til today and their food must be so good and popular within the neighbourhood!
(Added comment) also, if you want to keep your little restaurant with the locals, just delete your restaurant on Google and only post it on Japanese website! It’s better that no tourist can search...
Read moreWe absolutely loved our experience at Warren’s Place 2.1 . Discovered this hidden gem through YouTube, and it definitely lived up to the hype.
We were the first customers of the evening, and from the moment we walked in, we were met with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The vibe is super chill. The kind of place where you instantly feel at ease, whether you’re eating solo or with friends. It’s clear Warren has put real thought into making the space inviting and full of character.
Now let’s talk about the food. Easily the best burger we’ve had on island. My wife and son ordered the bacon cheeseburger which was juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with that smoky, savory flavor you hope for in a great burger. I went with the onion burger, which had the perfect balance of sweetness and tang. My daughter kept it classic with a hamburger, and it delivered that simple, satisfying, no-fuss taste that hits just right. And the waffle fries? Golden, crispy, and topped with a playful ketchup smiley face which is such a thoughtful touch that had all of us smiling before we even dug in.
The customer service was just as impressive as the food. Warren and his crew were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The kind of people who make you feel like you’re visiting a friend’s home rather than dining out. Their hospitality struck a perfect balance of professional and personal.
We also appreciated the selection of drinks available. Whether you’re keeping it simple with soft drinks, looking to unwind with a cold beer, or want to enjoy something more local like Okinawan sake (awamori), there’s something for everyone. It’s the perfect complement to an already satisfying meal.
The restaurant itself was spotless, from the dining area to the kitchen . A level of cleanliness that really stood out and added to the overall experience.
When it comes to pricing, everything was incredibly reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of food. You can really taste the love and care that goes into each order.
One thing to note: there’s no dedicated parking, so if you’re driving, don’t park illegally on the street or in front of someone’s house. But don’t stress, just scan the QR code or ask Warren, and he’ll guide you to a legal parking spot nearby.
Bonus: If you decide to leave a tip, know that it goes directly back into supporting the local community. A detail that speaks volumes about the heart behind this place.
If you find yourself in Nago and want a burger experience that hits all the right notes, amazing food, good vibes, refreshing drinks, and great people. Warren’s Place 2.1 is a must-visit. We’re already planning our...
Read moreLots of rules, and an extremely rude owner with a temper.
I consider myself a polite customer, and have never left a negative review for a restaurant (check my past reviews). Yet, I have never had anyone ever treat me in an establishment the way this man did.
Once you get past the bizarre entry system (they have the entrance closed off like a club, and you can only enter after scanning the QR code and verifying where you parked - I imagine the community has had trouble with people parking where they are not supposed to, which, fair enough), we were asked to sit at the bar even though the tables were all open.
My girlfriend asked if we could sit at the table. The owner explained how he prefers that people stay at the bar so it is easier for them to serve, and that way the tables are open in case a larger group comes in.
But all the tables were all empty, so my girlfriend asked again if we could sit at one of the tables. (For the record, part of the reason we wanted to move was because the owner was at the bar talking the ears off of a young couple, and the couple was politely nodding and barely saying a word. My girlfriend and I weren't really in the mood for staying up close and listening to his other conversation. We just wanted to sit down and enjoy each others' company, which the table is more conducive to instead of the bar).
At this point the owner says it's his establishment and if we don't like the rules, we're welcome to leave. He grumbled about how he's up there trying to have a conversation with the other couple (right, a very one-sided conversation). So we get up, leave our drinks at the bar, and started walking out.
But it doesn't end there. On the way out, he starts getting angrier and yells twice,"You're on camera!" I'm just thinking: why does it matter that we're on camera? Does he think we're going to do something violent or vandalize his restaurant? I am wondering if maybe he has had a bad experience with a customer in the past, but honestly, with all those rules, I think the poor man might be paranoid.
He is correct about one thing, however. It is his restaurant, and he can run it how he pleases. I am simply leaving this review to warn other customers who might disagree with his rules or his attitude. Every word that came out of the man's mouth seemed to be filled with vitriol, like he harbored a personal grudge against the rest...
