Torippa — Restaurant in Nagoya

We visited this place a couple of days ago. The interior was relatively pleasant, and this suggested that the food would also be above average. It was anything but! Indeed, four of us sent the chicken tebasaki back stating that it was absolutely disgusting. It had the appearance of some sort of road kill. I took a tiny bite and it tasted awful, like it had been pre-cooked and re-heated several times. This, of course, led to fears of food poisoning. I informed the waiter that it was so bad that we couldn’t possibly eat it. We later learned that we had still been charged for it. We were told that as we had touched it we had to pay. Never again. いつもこちらのお店でお世話になっています。焼き鳥はもちろんですが、特に私は「牛すじコロッケ」が好きで、外はサクサク、中はホロホロの牛すじがたっぷりと詰まっていて、味付けも絶妙です。

大将は腰が低く真面目な人柄で、お店のスタッフさんも丁寧で親切に対応してくれるので、気持ちよく利用できるのが嬉しいです。地元の人に愛される理由がよくわかります。これからも通い続けたいお店です！
