EL MALO — Restaurant in Naha

This restaurant is at first of all difficult to find it because he’s on the sixth floor in the middle of Kokusai street in Naha. The interior are pretty nice. I mean they look very Mexican but they are a little bit too dark for me. You can’t understand what you’re eating at the end of the day, then to tip at all you get a raw tacos and pretty much flavor less food and drinks . The only good thing was the enchiladas. It’s really difficult to find a good Mexican restaurant here in Okinawa, even though there are so many I think only a couple of them really make the difference using chili from Mexico and spices, but this is not the case . Tacos were quite average. The actual taco was good but the filling were quite bland. All of the tacos were cold and nothing tasted particularly fresh.

We ordered the 5 sauce set for our tacos and the the portions were absolutely tiny. The chipotle mayo was the size of a 500 yen coin.

This was not enough for the 15 taco sharer.

The worst part was the ‘otoshi’, it’s a tradition in Japan where a small dish is served for free before the meal.

However, the dish was not free and was charged at 300 yen per person.

The dish was a 40mm x 40mm square dish with a mouthful of shredded carrot. This was not worth 300 yen.
