I have have been here with my family to attend the 雪燈廊festival about seven years ago. That place was our most favorite place in Kyoto. Last time, we saw a snow covered Miyama, this time I see a different village. They still keep their house well, and added more cafe and other restaurant. This small cafe shop is located in a corner here, easy to note. I think they should be a new shop? But they offer nice coffee and several outdoor table. You can take beautiful photos here if you want.

Small Cafe, but Cozy and nice decoration without spoiling out of the silent and comformt environment of Miyama. If you like Milk and Cheese, its highly recommended to try its Milk flavour ice cream, if not Green tea is another good option! The gelato liked ice cream is smooth, milky with strong taste of milk! Don’t forget to try its egg pudding, it has strong scent of eggs and really soft. Mkst importantly, they didn’t add sugar excessively.

Visited here in the morning, it is a small cafe with a nice terrace area. The hot yuzu tea was an excellent treat in the chilly autumn weather and their chiffon cake was soft and fluffy. It could get a little noisy and crowded at times as the cafe is quite popular with tour groups. The specialty seemed to be their pudding made with local eggs. They have a special version on weekends as well.

Cafe Milan : In this village of Kayabukino Sato there is a cafe serving food produced by using home grown eggs. The name of Milan 美卵、美 stands for beauty and 卵 stands for egg. 美 is adopted from the name of a character of Miyama which writes 美山 in Japanese.
