BUGSY — Restaurant in Niiza

I GOT FOOD POISONING HERE! BEWARE!!!

Before I explain my experience at Bugsy. I don’t believe it was intentional but, the reason I’m leaving this review is so that other people don’t get sick or injured!

First,I want to say the venue looks great inside and interesting. Music was great as well. That’s where all the positive things end.

Before coming to this location I was looking around my city for any Mexican food because coming from Los Angeles the Mexican food culture is huge. I saw the menu ahead of time before going and the google reviews were fairly positive which prompted me to go.

One of the disappointments was that there’s no burgers on the menu when I checked online there were burgers which felt like false advertising. But I was mainly here for tacos. I try a few tacos honestly they were pretty okay I was enjoying myself. So I order a few more to go since they offered take out.

When I went home I reheated my leftover ate the pork tacos I ordered then went to bed. Few hours later I had strong stomach pains that have never happened to me. Moments later I was vomiting profusely and couldn’t stop using the restroom. It was hard to move during the experience. Hour or two later I went to the doctors. Was there for hours until I was able to go home. My whole week was recovering from food poisoning.

I don’t recommend anyone eating here especially if you are worried about food safety and food temperature. The food felt like it was a bit past its expiration dates especially with the Yucca fries.

I had to endure 36 hours of pain and involuntary vomiting because I decided to eat here. I hope nobody else has to endure...

Really nice and delicious dishes!

We ordered fried oysters served with an excellent homemade sauce tartar, two types of tacos and a roast steak from the day's menu. Both the tacos as well as the steak were just fantastic in taste and arrangements. As we were quite hungry and amazed by the skillfully prepared dishes we ordered as well a smoked sausage, served on mashed potatoes with a nice, natural mustard as well as an awesome Pizza Pie - spicy in taste. We enjoyed our dishes together with Takashimadaira's craft beer - very recommendable! The staff was super friendly, welcoming and professional.
