Tetchan Sushi — Restaurant in Nobeoka

Arrived in Beppu Station right before dinner time and the chicken restaurant that we had in mind was showing open til 7:30pm so we rushed there by around 6:30pm after checking into our hotel but they were already closed. So we wondered that area looking for another restaurant but every restaurant we checked required a reservation due to lack of seating for being such a small restaurant. We happened to walk into this restaurant and as busy as they were for the chef and waitress, they seated us and the whole menu was in Japanese. The waitress was nice enough to bring us some picture menus of sushi orders and we placed our order along with some photos of food I pointed to that was on their restaurant page on Google Maps. Then I realized after the fact that I could have used the text image translate on my Google translate app on my phone to translate the menu. Anyhow, we were happy that we got quick service and the sushi was fresh. Glad we didn't have to walk around searching for a restaurant while hungry too long before we found this restaurant. Wish I had taken some photos of the food we ordered. We were so hungry that we just ate it all up without thinking to take any photos. But my husband happened to take a picture of the sushi bar with the chef...

この店は、お寿司屋さんではあるが、寿司や刺身よりも焼き物などのレベルが高い。素材そのものもの味で勝負するよりも、技術で勝負することに長けているのだろう。 それはこの店の問題というよりも、上工程である市場や卸売、ひいては漁師の問題の可能性すらある。特に魚は、素材の味を極限まで生かすには、獲った瞬間から繊細な管理を必要とするという。熱は魚の劣化の大きな原因の一つであり、温暖な気候である宮崎はほかの地域以上に繊細な管理が要求されるはずである。おそらくその管理の差は業者によって大きな格差となって表れる。つまり寿司職人の腕というよりも、どこで仕入れるかで味が決まる。 訪れたのは真夏のことなので、より寿司や刺身があまりおいしく感じられなかった可能性も高いが、サイドメニューを食べる限り、腕は確かだと感じたので、延岡ではよい店といえるだろう。 この店へのジャッジメントは夏に行わず、寒い時期にお願いしたい、というのが...

全国いろんなお寿司屋さんに行きましたが、コスパという点ではかなりいいでしょう 行けばわかります

隠れた名店🎵 夜に訪問 駅から数分ですし、電車待ちとかの間にちょうど良い！ 店内喫煙はできないようになってました、、、

晩酌セット2500円 伺った時は、茹でダコ酢の物、ブリカマ塩焼き、3種刺し盛り〜ひむか本鯖入ってて贅沢、お寿司〜たぶん6〜8巻ぐらいあったような、生ビールか瓶ビール1本

実質、3500〜4000円ぐらい価値のありそうな晩酌セット内容でした┌(┌＾o＾)┐

ご夫婦の対応もよく、居心地良かった！ こういう店を大事にして行きたいですね。。
