Nana-iro no hikari — Restaurant in Noboribetsu

Surprise find by the train station. Was waiting to catch the train and decided to walk two minutes to the nearby tourist centre for gelato and sorbet.

Loved all their flavours (wished I could have tried them all) and the two types of strawberry ones (can't remember now if one was sorbet and the other gelato). The ones we chose (strawberry sorbet, matcha and red bean) didn't taste/smell of artificial flavouring—just pure, simple ingredients.

Will definitely return if travel...

Excellent quality gelato at this modern and clean transport hub. Wonderful flavours gelato made from top quality local Hokkaido ingredients. Lovingly presented in a cup or cone with fresh berries and crispy waffle and sugar cracker. We had the rhubarb which was a delightful flavour combination. I’m very picky about my ice cream and gelato and this may in the top five I’ve had in the world. Small selection of seasonal flavors and they make it look so pretty!
