Fresh Bake Nonoichi — Restaurant in Nonoichi

A large variety of breads ,sweet breads,and snacks.They like to portray themselves as "French style "bread hence the French music constantly playing .I just finished eating some of their wholemeal brown bread and it was delicious with a crusty exterior.They have their standard long loaves ,so typically French,but alas no sourdough bread. I have yet to find any bakery in Ishikawa ken that can do this style.All their sandwich packs had some meat in them which surprised me somewhat as there was no non meat alternative.I suppose I could have just taken the ham off but the bread seemed on the soft variety with the crust removed.Yeech.So many Japanese bakeries nowadays put some sort of frankfurter or hamburger on their bread snacks making it the norm rather than the exception.You do not see this in real Western culture bakeries.Its as if the baker thinks that will sell his dough more quickly if he adds meat!Ha ha.Its the quality of bread that counts Mr.baker not what you think consumers would like on it..In western culture you buy the bread ,then add the filling.Sandwich culture is so primitive in Japan the consumer wants everything ready for them. Another downside to Japanese bakeries is their near total reliance on white ultra refined wheat flour.As Western bakeries explore the rye, ,millet,whole grain,sourdough breads Japanese breads are stuck in the Middle Ages.Are they just too conservative to experiment?On the plus side to this bakery they offer free coffee and tea to take away even!This place always has customers in it as they cater to what Japanese want in their bread.White flour,soft bread,plenty of sugary things ,and meat.With that combination the bakery cannot go wrong.The Japanese are deserting their whole grain rice(totally white with the husk removed) in favour of the breads that Western culture is fast removing from their everyday menu(white soft spongy).At least This bakery had some crusty...

Smells so nice, looks so good to not stop by. I was totally attracted and impressed by the varieties of bakeries in there. I bought several pieces of bread and all of them were yummy. I liked their croissant-like bread (I couldn’t remember the name) with peanut butter and chocolate fillings. It was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. They also offer free coffee to enjoy sipping and eating the bakery at the outside seatings. I would definitely revisit to try some...

Awesome bakery with loads of different types of bread. There are probably more savory breads than sweet! Also some dairy free breads...which is nice for certain...
