Went to try out cocos curry. It's a popular chain that I've heard a lot about from the states.
The great thing is there is a lot of customization you can do. From spice level to the amount of rice, and even getting a low carb option (cauliflower rice instead of regular rice), there's a lot to choose from.
I tried the beef with vegetables and fried chicken with added corn. 4.25 stars My partner had the tonkatsu. 4.25 stars The tonkatsu was definitely superior to the chicken due to the panko crust. Both curries were good. The 3 spicy level was perfect for me. My partner who likes super spice did not find the 5 hot enough. I'm not sure if you can ask for no ice.
Parking is available in a small private lot.

If you cannot handle spicy foods, do not even get level 1 spice. Get the mild or maybe .5 if you're ambitious.
The chicken is delicious. The pork is delicious. I ate some sort of fried potato I think k and it was delicious. The. Curry was delicious. I love me some rice. All for under 1000 yen/$10 USD? Chefs kiss. Some dish options will cost more than that of course. But we're not talking anything egregious.
Dallas cocos I easily spend 100 bucks USD for 4 people but probably only 45-50 USD here, that's with a soda or something. Water is free of course.
Great place. Did not realize yoshinoya was right next door though when I went here. Coulda got me some gyuodon to go. My beef and rice lovers get some to-go there. Yum yum yum yum...
