SAKUPAN CAFE — Restaurant in Okinawa

A pleasant surprise! I was on my way to another cafe in the area that ended up being closed so I decided to see what else in the area was open and I stumbled upon this gem! I was in the mood for good coffee and a tasty breakfast. This place definitely came through! I ordered the French toast which was delicious and came with a side salad and bacon. The ambience of this cafe is industrial but cozy. There is a small parking lot and quite a few tables to hangout and sip your smooth coffee or latte. The staff were very friendly and sweet making you feel welcomed and comfortable. I will definitely be returning for a brunch date with the ladies or with my husband. Next time I will have to try the panini but it will be hard because I really loved that French toast! The cafe does accept card or cash. What a lovely place to have lunch and grab a drink!

Walking in, it's a spacious, esthetic cafe. You'll be greeted by the lovely staff, and if you need an English menu, they will provide you with one. We placed our order at the counter and then took a seat. But not before we wandered around, gazing at the many trinkets for sale. Jewelry, decorative hair ties, dog outfits, colorful coin purses, adorable little panda figurines, and so much more!

At your table, you'll find an adorable little panda statue. We didn't have to wait long for our order despite there only being two staff members; they work efficiently. The presentation of the food is great. Every panini comes with two choices of sides such as salad, fries, yogurt, etc. And each one of us had a panda cup with a side in it. Adorable! The food itself was delicious and definitely filling enough.

I'd love to come back here...

6 of 5 stars for everything. Beautiful building and setting. Serene on a Saturday morning even with a dozen customers inside. Clean and bright. Received a warm welcome from the two staff members.

English menu with clear descriptions eliminated any problems caused by our poor (virtually non-existent) Japanese.

Drinks: iced Matcha Latte, Mango Juice, Hot Caramel Latte. All were delicious, matcha latte exceptional.

Food: two panini, both exceptional. Red Bean Butter Panini and Egg & Avocado Panini. Pressed and toasted perfectly. The Yogurt was both beautifully presented and delicious—ideal ratio of garnishments to yogurt. Our salad was dressed with a light dressing and the pickled carrot shavings added a great balance. Creamy corn soup was buttery and soothing.
