Okinawen Sports Park (Also known as Comprehensive Park) is by far the largest park on island. There are 8 outdoor tennis courts used for school practice and competitive play. There is a newly built Soccer stadium. There are 3k/4k/5k walking/running tracks that allow you to see what the park has to offer. There is a work out area with bars for pull-ups, sit-ups, dips, etc. There is a children's playground area with nets, poles and slides. There is an area for track racing, javelin/disk throwing and other types of sports. There is one little league sized softball field. There is a bike racing track to improve your speed on a bicycle. There is a camp ground area to setup tents and tables. There is a fish feeding pond where the fish swim right up to the edge of the water and are up to 2 feet in length. There is a massive indoor area used for tennis or soccer for practicing. There is a lot of open grass area by the camping area for Frisbee throwing or playing with your kids. There is a pond where you can rent a bicycle or a foot paddle boat and see some of the turtles inside the pond area. During the summer time they open the Water Park area which has water slides, places to sun bathe and a lazy river. There are three entrances to the park and you can't see any of the park from the road. The road that goes through the park is surrounded by trees that prevent a lot of the noise coming from vehicles driving by. Parking is usually not an issue; one of the parking lots gets full, but there is always parking by the new stadium. I guess the only downside would be that it is packed on Sundays. Other than that it is a great place to get out and relax or get a good workout in. I hope...

Read moreI absolutely loved coming here with my kids! There's so many different parks and things to do. The park they liked the most is sort of toward the back part of the park past the duck ponds. There are places toy can buy little boxes of kibble for the ducks and fish too. Plenty of places to hang out, have a picnic, and for the kids to run and play. Restrooms, sinks, and water fountains are available all over so you never have to worry about that. There's also access to the beach; part of it is a long stretch of shallows, another is a seaweed farm and the last bit is about average. We didn't really swim here much but it was nice to let the kids play in the sand and look for little rocks. Honestly if you just want a nice relaxing day, pack a lunch and take a nice long walk...
