An unexpected find in Omihachiman! The food was good and very homely, the service and atmosphere top-notch. The service can be a little slow as there was only one lady at lunchtime, but she was extremely friendly and attentive (she brought colour markers for a neighbouring table with a young child, unprompted, amongst other things)

八幡堀観光の途中の昼過ぎに訪問しました 満席との事でしたが、入り口横のテーブルで良ければとの事で、ここでの食事を楽しみにしていたので、座れれば良しと思い快諾 メニューは近江牛すき焼きもありましたが、一押しであろう喜兵衛膳を選択 鯉の煮付け、鯉のあらい、近江牛ローストビーフ、天ぷらの中から一つ選べるのですが、プラス1100円で三品まで選べるシステムになってます 少し時間が遅かった事もあり、ローストビーフは品切れと言われたので、鯉の煮付けと、天ぷらの二つを選びました 御膳は赤こんにゃくや佃煮など近江八幡の名産品もあり、どれも手の込んだ美味しい物尽くしでした 鯉の煮付け、天ぷらとしっかりとした仕事された良い品でした ご飯もおかわりできますとの事でしたが、天ぷらが思ったより品数多くたくさんあったのでおかわりなくても満腹になりました 八幡堀のすぐ横の立地といい、風情のある建物、素敵な料理と三拍子揃った最高のお店です また近江八幡を訪れた際はまたお伺いさせてもらいます
