We had a few days there last spring. The house is a piece of art, the owners put all their heart in the restoration of this traditional house and in their work. As a guest you ll have the whole 1st floor to yourself, bathing is downstairs in an old fashion style bathtub, which is great. The breakfast, homemade, was very subtile and delicious. We shall never forget this beautiful place and I will def come back here if I stay in onomichi during my next trip. Thank you for your kindness!

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was such an enjoyment. The entire 2nd floor with its own washroom was exclusive to us, breakfast was served at the main floor (where the hosts live and run a western cafe/restaurant during daytime). The hosts were very nice and easy to communicate in English. We sensed the true Zen spirit a of simple but satisfied life here, greatly recommend this place.

Nicely decorated restaurant located on the first floor in the old-style Japanese house.

We waited so much because of the weekend crowd but I’d liked to see the menu before I waited for an hour.

There are not so many options, as I remember only two pasta you may choose, the other things are drinks & desserts.

Pastas had good taste btw. But we were not sure to choose desserts.
