TLDR: Fantastic food and some of the kindest people we met on our trip! We stopped by here twice during our stay in Osaka because (1) the food was all delicious (especially the salads) and (2) the owners were so lovely. They have a rotating menu, so definitely worth a repeat trip. On our first visit, we were planning to use Google translate to review the menu, but a regular customer there who spoke English noticed us and was so excited to chat about the restaurant that he ended up helping us order. We got the salad of the day, the shumai, and the eel—all fantastic. The owners ended up giving us some extra side dishes to try for free, and we all had a great time watching my partner’s reactions to the new flavors. They also very kindly gave us recommendations about things to do in Osaka. On our second visit, we got the salad of the day, mapo tofu, and an eggplant dish—again all super tasty. Not only did the owners remember us but they also ended up calling a friend who spoke English just so they could tell us about a festival taking place right before we were planning to head back to the U.S. They made us feel so welcomed; our interactions with them were truly a highlight of our trip :) We took a little photo with them before we left as well, and they gave us some paper cranes to take as souvenirs! I’d highly recommend that folks stop by the restaurant if you find yourself nearby (and I believe they’re doing takeout now as well).

Love! Sometimes it’s not entirely about the food, but the dining experience. If the food and services are great, then it’s definitely the best experience of all. Had the warmest welcome out of 7 days in Japan. Although there’s communication barrier but that didn’t stop both the chef and the elderly lady showcasing their warmth. Had spinach fried rice, shu mai and homemade plum wine. Me being a Malaysian Chinese. Trust me. I know what’s a good Chinese food and their food is good. You could taste the flavour from the ingredient itself in its purest form. Felt like home. Not sure that’s the culture but they also provided me some homemade side dish to pair with my plum wine-which the flavour is darn good

関西おいしいもの食べ歩き【2022年8月25日訪問】充実の旬の日替りランチが激ウマ(^_^)　チャイニーズカフェゆめや在宅勤務の昼休みに以前からチェックしていたお店に突撃♪ チャイニーズカフェゆめや表通りから一筋入った隠れ家でぞんざいすら知らなかったけど良いお店と出会えました(^_^) 場所は、毛馬橋から城北公園通りを天神橋筋方向に進んで天満橋筋に入りますりくろーおじさんを通り過ぎて1つ目の信号を右に入ると突き当たりに在ります店頭の黒板に細かくメニューが書かれてます店内は、テーブル２席　小上がり２席厨房でコックスタイルのご主人と腰の曲がった上品なお母さん２人で切り盛りされてますメニューは、グランドメニューと本日のおすすめランチ定食としては（税込表記）焼売定食　800円旬の日替りランチ　1000円こちらにも焼売が入ってたので日替りランチお願いしま～す♪ ゆめやの焼売二個セイロで蒸し上げた熱々の焼売焼売のタレと練り辛子でいただきます玉ねぎのシャキシャキ食感が心地良くてウマウマ(^_^) ぷりぷり海老と夏野菜のフレッシュチリソース炒め本当にプリプリやん辛さ抑えめで美味しいです夏野菜は、レンコン、紫玉ねぎ、パプリカ、トウモロコシ豚足とピーナッツの紅南乳煮込み練り辛子を付けていただきます甘辛トロトロでピーナツが入ってます泡盛ロックが飲みたくなるや～んヒゲソリダイと彩り野菜のサラダヒゲソリタイ、レタス、オクラ、トマト、ダイコン、ニンジン、キュウリ、トウモロコシ、胡桃、ナッツと盛り沢山ゴーヤの中華佃煮苦いと思いきや甘くてジャコと鰹節の旨みが利いてます干し貝柱入り冬瓜と素麺のスープ干し椎茸の出汁まで手間隙掛けた旨みですご飯がセット充実の内容に大満足の日替りランチですこりゃリピ確定次回は、夜に伺いますご馳走様でした(^_^)
