I frequent this bar quite often. I consider the owner a good friend, he has helped me out quite a few times when my limited Japanese hit a wall. But enough about me. The owner is a very good bartender, he can mix more cocktails than I know, and if he doesn't know the recipe off the top of his head, he pulls out his worn recipe book. If you want to try something out of the ordinary, ask him if you can flip through his book. I don't like whiskey, but he loves it and has a large selection, Japanese, Scotch, Irish, American. Good selection of other liquors, too. Carlsberg on tap. His wife is hilarious, and is a great cook. Hamburg steak, tonkatsu, sandwiches, all are good. Usually when you sit down she serves you with something she's making as a free service, like potato salad or crab salad. Quiet with some jazz playing in the background, perfect for talking with friends or striking up a conversation with someone already there. He's open usually...
