Vegetarians: You can't eat here, stop it! I speak Japanese and talked to the owner. He informed me that the soup base, even if I ordered miso ramen or any other option, was tonkotsu which is a pork base!
I did mention to him that a number of people online seemed to be confused about there being vegetarian options but I'm not sure he's the type to be patrolling the Google comments section.
The only other possibility I can think of is that he was out of a certain kind of broth but the impression I got was that he uses the same base for all of the soups.

You can order an extra serving of pork which I would highly recommend as it is delicious! They have vegetarian options as well: the miso butter and the tomato and cheese ramen!
