Basically just a simple hotel with the word "ryokan" in the name.
What I mean is that there's no dinner, no breakfast, no yukata or even a simple bathrobe and our room had bunk beds so no tatami either. The staff didn't offer any help in carrying our luggage into the room. In addition, the welcoming drinks that were advertised at the counter were not offered automatically but we had to ask for them and once we received them, we could tell that they were made out of drink powder. All of these things would have been fine from a cheap hotel but not from an accomodation that calls themselves a ryokan. They also offered a gift for everyone who leaves a review so that might explain all the high praise reviews.
The worst of all was that our room had an odd smell. The ventilation was loud but we had to keep it on so the smell wouldn't get worse and the air wouldn't become stale. The room was very cramped with no room to open 2 suitcases. Even the tv was tiny (and I really mean tiny) and the wifi lagged.
Location is close to Hanazonocho station but otherwise there's nothing in the neighborhood, the area looks a bit run down and most shops are permanently closed.
3 stars because at least the lobby looked nice and the room was clean and we were able to check in an hour early and store our luggage until 17:30 when we...

The rooms were not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The hotel's strategic location, just a short distance from the station, made it extremely convenient for us to explore the surrounding areas effortlessly.

This review is for the restaurant as it's a hidden gem. I was a little bit skeptical at first about this place with not too many reviews on the restaurant page on Google. But trust me, it's worth the dive!
The layout is very simple and modern. You're greeted by a waitress that speaks moderate English and is very helpful. You're asked to pay up front as is customary in some places.
I was the only person in here on a Saturday morning so my food was prepared almost immediately. I was offered drinks in the back via self serve and helped myself to some green matcha tea. There is also coffee and orange juice and water.
As for the food and presentation, it was very simple and beautifully done.
My Japanese style breakfast included rice, two egg rolls, chicken, Spanish mackerel, tuna, and cold cod ceviche. And it was all very delicious.
Would highly recommend if you're looking for an authentic...
