Lion Shokudo — Restaurant in Oshu

I highly suggest either reserving ahead of time or getting here as soon as it opens because we got here at around 12:30 and had to wait over an hour to be seated. I later found out that it wasn't the fault of the restaurant, but rather the customers. When we finally got seated the food came out at a reasonable time, however the couple next to us who probably had been there for an hour had already finished their meal and were just looking at their phones instead of vacating their seat and letting the next batch of customers in. This was super annoying since the interior isn't exactly huge to begin with. The food itself is quite delicious, the restaurant serves a range of ethic dishes from countries such as Vietnam, Thailand and so on. I got the Mexican Plate which was the special for that week. It came with a salad and soup. It cost around 1400 yen and was very filling. Highly recommended if you're in the neighbourhood, just be careful...

(I had to try. ) If you are not a Fan of Coriander at all, (Like me.) nor would you want Fresh Cut/Sliced or Chopped onions all over your dish, (just like me) and you prefer onions cooked….Well, be adviced, Have it requested to be “not” added upon ordering.

Fresh Salads and Drinks and Desserts are great, and their Meat dishes are Fine too, But their soup- curry dishes would be better, if it would be more creamier. For us …we thought , the coconuts milk needs more...

20211229 11時の開店と同時に行ったのですが既に満席。名前と携帯番号を書いて車の中で待機しておりました。駐車場が30mほど離れたところに５台ほど停めれるところがあります。狭いので要注意です。

店の中は、正直寒いです。特に足下が寒くて大変でした。椅子とテーブルの高さが高めで、お子さんはちょっと大変かもしれません。

いただいたのはおまかせのランチのセット。トムヤムクンヌードルとナシゴレンです。追加はパクチー水餃子。そしてコーヒー。 全体的に量が多くてお腹が苦しい。個人的には半分の量で良いかも。トムヤムもナシゴレンも私には全く辛味が足りなく「もっと辛いのがお好きならどうぞ」と何とかと言う唐辛子の刻んだ物を「とても辛いのでお気をつけください」と添えられました。が、それも辛くない（笑）　それがちょっと物足りない感じです。パクチー水餃子はとても香りが良く私的には大満足でした。

1点だけ残念なことが…かみさんはカレーを頼んだのですが、提供されたのがぬるかった。器が分厚いので熱を取られてしまったのでしょう。これはとても残念なことでした。また、お米はタイ米ではなく日本のお米です。これも少し残念でした。

本場の味というより日本人の口に合うよう改良されたもの（じゃないかなぁ？）で、本場独特の香りが苦手な方も美味しくいただけます。

ちょっと改善していただけると良いと思ったことは、プレートが小さいかなと言うこと。あの量を乗せるといっぱいいっぱいで溢れそうなくらいで食べ難い。もう少し余裕のある器を使用された方が良いなと感じました。
