Fuku Sushi — Restaurant in Ozu

Nice old school sushi place run by friendly staff. Their English was limited. For 950 yen for a set of sushi (8 pieces) and some free tea, the value is insane like most places in the area.

The sushi itself was nothing insane, but especially considering the value, it was quite nice and varied. We asked for the more tame options so I assume the options get even whackier.

Couple side notes, the lady there was really talkative and trying to overcome the language barrier was fun. You also get free hot towels to wash your face and hands with.

長浜の市街地の中にある小さな寿司店です。県道や国道からは、やや狭い路地を入ったところにあります。 GWの連休中で河岸が休みだったからかもしれませんが、残念ながら地魚の握りは無く、一般的なネタ８貫の江戸前寿司1400円(税込)を頂きました。 車で訪れる場合は、店の西側に隣接する青空の月極駐車場の決められた区画に停めることが出来ます。契約者の表示がないので予め店に連絡して店の主人に案内してもらうことで無用なトラブルを避けられると思います。鉄道を利用する場合は、予讃本線の伊予長浜駅から徒歩10分程と、少し遠く感じるかもしれません。 女将は、地元の出身とのことです。中学生の頃は通学路として毎日長浜大橋を使い、当時は船の往来が多く、人や車よりも船の通行が優先されていた為、タイミングが悪いと橋を渡るのに時間を要し遅刻しないかとハラハラしながら通学していたそうです。また、冬には毎朝のように「あらし」の中、橋を渡っていたようです。 現在は、日曜日のお昼に橋が上がることを板前さんが教えてくれました(この日は日曜日で...
