麺屋酒田本店 — Restaurant in Sakata

Unlike other famous ramen shops in Sakata, this place is truly loved by the locals. It's not widely known outside the area, but its inner strength and unique flavor set it apart from the rest.

Many restaurant reviews are subjective, and you often don't know the real deal until you try it yourself. This review is no exception.

However, I can confidently say that this ramen changed my perception of what ramen could be. It introduced me to a whole new level of flavor that I haven't experienced anywhere else.

The noodles are thick and chewy, the soup is light and refreshing, and it comes with a separate spoon piled high with backfat (pork lard), allowing you to customize the richness to your liking. This is a huge plus.

If you've never tried this ramen, I urge you to give it a shot. They don't have English menus, but you can manage by using a translation app to buy a meal ticket from the vending machine.

Be aware that it can get very crowded during peak hours, and there's often communal seating, so it's best to keep conversations to a minimum out of consideration for other diners.

入り口のたたずまいと安すぎる値段の券売機に一瞬躊躇するも えいっ！とボタンを押したのは塩ラーメン大盛り(￥850)とメンマ(￥100)。　ちなみに普通盛りは￥650😲 食券を浜っ子お母さんに渡して待ちます。 …なかなか来ない。。 やっときた～♥️と思ったら時間がかかってたのも納得の超超極太麺😲ｽｺﾞ 塩スープ透き通り過ぎてて超超極太麺と合うのかや？wwと思いながら啜ると「えっ！？メチャうま💯🏆️」 優勝です⭕ メンマの固さと味付けも神だわ～😋 量もスゲー😋⤴️ 麺の小麦の香りいいわぁ～😋 しかしライス🍚は な～～～し😭 完飲完食したときには丼に「まだ来いの」(また来てね)と文字が♥️ 絶対来るわ🤝♥️ ごちそうさまでした😋
