De Admiral French Cuisine — Restaurant in Sasebo

French fine dining restaurant located inside Hotel Europe of Huis Ten Bosch, Nagasaki. The restaurant has a beautiful dining room that has a nice quiet atmosphere with a nice view of the Huis Ten Bosch theme park. Service is excellent, and at the time I was visiting there was even a violinist playing classical music. Needless to say, it's a very classic and traditional French restaurant, and I had the course meal for lunch.

The amuse bouche was a paprika mousse which I enjoyed, a nice creamy, velvety savoury mousse with strong sweet paprika flavors. After that a course of a filet of local fish and salmon tartare was served, and I enjoyed that too. They were followed by a course of pork wrapped in some pastry sheet deep fried, and a chilled tomato soup that gives you the feeling of eating a fresh tomato with some saltines from a slice of prosciutto, perfect for the summer. The bread they served in between courses was also to die for, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and extremely fragrant. However for the main course, which was again fish (pan seared sea bream), did not meet my expectations. The flesh was tough and dry and the pumpkin pureé and other accompaniments were satisfactory. The dessert too failed to hit the mark in my opinion, the presentation of the berry tart also fell short in comparison to the other dishes.

All in all, it's a beautiful restaurant with excellent service, and a nice place to go to if you want a French style dining experience with well presented food, nice views and classical music. As for the food I would...

一番お安いディナーコースでも、女性なら満腹。かなり本格的なコースにデザートまでしっかりついているので、お昼抜きくらいでもいいかも。（私はブランチに、川沿いのテラスでパエリアを食べました。その後はなにも食べてない！）ここは今回2度目の利用ですが、グラスワインを頼むめんどくささから、コース中に４回、ソムリエセレクトのワインが提供される4,000円のワインセットなるものを頼んでみたら、これがすごい！スパークリングワインから始まりそのあと白が2杯、肉料理の時に赤が1杯提供され大満足！おそらく、グラスワインをあれこれ頼むよりはるかにお得！どれもめちゃめちゃ美味しいワインを楽しめました！ テーマパークのフレンチだからと舐めてかからないでほしい。ハウステンボスの美しい風景（ぜひ、陽が沈む前から夜のイルミネーションへと映る景色を楽しんでほしいので、日没前のコース開始時間をお勧めします！）を楽しみながら、丁寧に作られた美味しいフレンチとワインで、幸せな気分になれる極上のひとときが楽しめます！ と、店員さんへおわび。 お腹いっぱいで最後のちっさなデザートが食べられないのがもったいなくて（去年も食べられなかったので）「持ち帰りたい」とお願いしましたが、目が悪くて「焼き菓子３つ」に見えてて、気軽に言ってしまいました。が、うち二つは「クリーム」だったんですね。それでも袋に入れてちゃんと渡してくださいました。 ホテルでスプーンで食べました。めちゃめちゃ美味しかったです！ご面倒をおか...
