Finger Lickin — Restaurant in Sasebo

Oh my!! I saw this restaurant pop up as a suggestion so decided to give it a try.

The best garlic shrimp I’ve tasted in a long time! My husband got the super spicy steak. Both dishes were amazing. Large portion sizes, but I made sure to eat it ALL. LOL!

The restaurant is easy to find from the main street. It’s take out only. There is not even outdoor seating available, just a waiting bench. But even with driving 15 mins to get back home, the food was still very hot and fresh. There is limited free street parking available, and a quick 1-2 min walk from the paid parking lot.

Outstanding service! For the shrimp, they will ask you if you want the shell on or off. I got the shell off. I received 7 shrimp which were very large, fresh, and crisp! For the steak, it was cooked medium well. They didn’t ask how we wanted like the steak cooked, only the spicy level. It took about 15-20 minutes to receive our food.

Lastly, to top it off, the mixed sodas are a must try!

Will definitely come...

THEY NOW HAVE CHICKEN WINGS. And these wings taste like the Chinese restaurant chicken wings from San Diego, iykyk.

I have been going here since 2021 and it’s the beginning of 2024, so I’m starting my foodie year off right. I have officially tried all three entrées, I always order shrimp, but I finally tried the steak one, and it was just as delicious! During the colder months, the tender licious soup is also so freaking good. I swear I could just sit there and eat it with rice. Basically, anything you order from here is good, even their mixed drinks that you can turn into chu hi’s!

This restaurant is owned by Kyohei and Ayumi, the coolest husband and wife duo to ever own a restaurant I swear. They are so sweet, remember who you are and treat you like family. This restaurant is awesome. I know we typically come to the reviews to see how the food tastes, and don't get me wrong, this place serves up some delicious food, but I want to take a moment to mention the best part of this place: the owners. These two are possibly the kindest and most awesome people you will meet in Sasebo. They are beyond friendly and always smiling so much it is infectious. If you are feeling a little down, swing by Finger Lickin for a custom drink. Their smiles and lovely attitudes will have you feeling great. The music is always awesome here as well.

I have eaten the steak, chicken, and shrimp plates here. They are all delicious and always served with care. Please look at the pics I post to understand. They do custom drawings on the box to make you feel even more appreciated as a customer. I 10/10 would go back here...
