Nimitz park is beautiful and well cared for and Christmas on the park was always a wonderful event. You can find the USO near the back by the vending machines. My high school boyfriend and I were the managers for the EJK baseball team and the fields were always neat and tidy.
BE AWARE that a LOT of Japanese people like to use Nimitz as a convenient place to park so sometimes if you're headed to Yonkacho (the Ginza), you can have a hard time finding parking especially around holidays and festivals.
