My dining experience at Steak Salon was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into the charming restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. With its intimate ambiance and cozy seating arrangements – a single large table for four and a spacious round counter with around ten seats – it felt like a hidden culinary gem.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the live cooking spectacle performed by the talented chef behind the counter, reminiscent of teppanyaki dining. I opted for the special fillet steak accompanied by succulent scallops, while my husband indulged in the premium beef lemon steak.

Each course was meticulously prepared and presented, starting with a refreshing salad boasting an array of fresh fruits and vegetables, including strawberries, oranges, cucumbers, lettuces, and tomatoes. The corn soup was a delightful starter, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor.

The main dishes were nothing short of perfection. My fillet steak was incredibly tender, cooked to absolute precision, and paired exquisitely with the heavenly scallops that seemed to melt in my mouth. My husband’s premium beef lemon steak was equally impressive, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.

To conclude the meal, we were treated to a homemade caramel pudding drizzled with mango sauce, accompanied by two small servings of vanilla and strawberry sherbet ice creams. It was the perfect ending to a memorable dining experience.

I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an unforgettable steak dining experience in Sasebo. Reservations in advance can be made through their Facebook page, and please note that they...

I recently dined at Steak Saloon in Sasebo, Japan, and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience, easily deserving five stars! From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel right at home, ensuring every detail of our meal was perfect. The food was nothing short of outstanding! I ordered the lemon steak with an added scallop, and the combination was divine. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with the zesty lemon sauce adding a refreshing twist that paired beautifully with the rich, buttery scallop. My wife opted for the special, which included steak and prawns, and she couldn’t stop raving about it. The prawns were plump and perfectly grilled, complementing the succulent steak in a way that left us both speechless. Every bite was a delight, and the quality of the ingredients shone through in every dish. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, making it the perfect spot for a special night out. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to Steak Saloon—it’s a must-try for anyone in Sasebo!...

Amazing, world-class food in a cozy yet sophisticated Mom and Pop atmosphere. Very limited seating, get there early, an watch a consummate master chef prepare your meal right in front. No staff, just the owner and his gracious wife. I had the full-course French meal. Perfection. Perfectly executed courses, showing such a level of professional skill. Nicely done fruit, lettuce, and steak salad. Incredible soup, with coarsely ground black pepper for perfect seasoning. Prawn and scallop seafood, Kobe beef tenderloin, grilled peppers, haricots vert on a piping hot plate with the chef’s signature red wine sauce. Nice dessert combo of custard and ice cream.

If you are a foodie and appreciate the personal skill and dedication of a lifelong master chef, come to Sasebo. It’s worth it. While you’re here spend an extra night and dine at the nearby Antica Osteria del Mare for some old world Italian. Sasebo is a great place...

Absolutely the best meal I have had here in Sasebo. Excellent and extremely friendly service highlighted a beautifully prepared meal of 5 courses. The salad with beef and fresh fruit topped with three different dressings all complimenting each other was a meal by itself. The soup was creamed corn based and topped with cream and pepper. The entrée was a perfectly seared scallop, a huge prawn, a half of a lobster, wonderful vegetables, and a perfectly cooked sirloin beef that was tender and cooked in a bath of butter. The dessert was two small scoops of ice cream and flan with an orange sauce. Coffee with cream finished off the meal. If you find yourself in Sasebo, you need to make sure to make this a stop for dinner.

What a unique experience this was. All the food was delicious, albeit with some interesting mixes of flavors. Reservation is practically required. I lucked out because I showed up right when they opened. They had to check their reservation list and luckily I got a seat. Many people were turned away at the door. Service was great. I recommend trying this place.
