While the tour was conducted in Japanese, they gave us an English pamphlet that highlighted the points made on the tour. For those with any rough understanding of the brewing process, it's easy enough to grasp anyway. It was certainly very cool to see the production from the raw ingredients all the way to the actual bottling and canning machinery.
While a beer tour may not seem like your cup of tea, the tasting at the end will surely be worth your stop. Three full glasses of fresh beer made at the factory and an extra can for you to take home was definitely worthwhile. Did I mention the entire tour was free? The experience starts at Togajo station where a whimsical bus picks you up and drives you to the factory. Check in with the front desk for the free tour and enjoy the elaborate tour using your 5 senses: sight, touch, smell, taste, and VR!. Yes, they have a VR segment! I am a Taiwanese. Although they don’t provide English or Chinese tour guide, they offer traditional Chinese brochures with very detailed information.
I was late and a little hurry for airport. They allowed me to join the current group rather than the next one in 30 minutes. It helped me catch shuttle bus and JR train.
In this tour, they provides 3 cups of beer with different flavors for free. Highly recommended tour!
