Tucked away like a gentle secret, Dog Café & Zakka Shouyuya is the kind of place that reminds you why small, lovingly-run cafes are worth seeking out—especially when traveling with a dog.

From the moment we stepped in, the warmth of the two women running the café set the tone. A bowl of fresh water arrived promptly for our dog, followed by a sweet offer of toys from a nearby box—charming touches that signal true dog lovers at the helm.

We ordered the grilled toast set with coffee, and while it took a little time to prepare, the result was worth the wait: rustic toast layered with a tangy tomato sauce, softened onions, sausage, and eggs—comfort food with a handmade soul. A small salad and a couple of orange slices rounded out the plate nicely. Midway through, our host quietly returned—not with a bill, but with dog snacks. It was the kind of gesture that lingers longer than any latte art.

Though the weather kept us from enjoying the spacious dog run outside, it’s easy to imagine the joy of a sunny afternoon here. Plus—free parking makes it all the more accessible for road-trippers.

ドックカフェで検索して立ち寄らせていただきました。白井宿の端に位置するお店です。犬連れで行ったのですが犬に対してサービス満点で助かります。 オムライス注文し、ソースがチーズソースかケチャップソースと聞かれ、チーズソースにあまり馴染みがなかったのでそちらを注文(ケチャップソースも付けていただきました)。 食事がメインのお店ではないようですが、味も量も満足できる食事でした。 利根川自転車道の終点にも近いお店なのでサイクリングがてらまた寄らせていただきたいお店です。
