Terrific service and great food. My family and I visited this place due to high review ratings for this place and were in for a plesant surprise.

Pros: The head chef was a friendly and enthusiastic chef and recommended a lot of good food to us. If you don't speak Japanese it's no problem as they will use a japanese translation device. The sashimi was fresh and tasty, as they selected the types of fish that are caught in the local area. Price was reasonable and definetely worth it.

Cons: it may be busy during peak hours but the service is still fast enough that you have enough time in before courses

We had a great time at Madoka, sitting at the counter and enjoying the excellent food and sake! The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome despite the language barrier. Using a translation app helped make simple conversation and got the message across.

There is a good list of sake and their recommendation was delicious. All food was superb and we asked for additional dishes as we wanted to try more of their specialties.

Far exceeded any of our expectations! Didn't make prior reservations but they managed to fit us in a few seats at the counter. We were lucky to be seated where the head chef was stationed and were treated to a show, watching him as he prepared the many dishes throughout the night.
