Luck on our side, the owner was kind enough to give us a semi private space right after they open for dinner. The one and only thing you need to try here is the Kumano beef. This beef is perfect on the bbq and the secret sauce they have is the perfect accompaniment for the beef. We also tried the chicken and pork but nothing compares to beef. As the only authorized Kumano Beef Yakiniku restaurant in Shingu area, it was nearly full even at late night, which we need to wait for some time before the staff can clear up a private room for us. Tried general Japanese beef and local Kumano beef, the Kumano beef is way more strong in taste comparing the same part but not very fatty in texture even it shows more fat marble on the meat. Even my 10 year old daughter devoured liver and tongue without skipping a beat. The finer cuts were certainly blindingly good too (obligatory decadent Japanese marbling).
