The rooms were full of bugs (10+) .The owner of the place is disrespectful and doesn’t know how to behave in public. I’m attaching a photo of the person who treated us this way.
People can be forgetful or make mistakes; in such cases, it’s essential to be understanding and patient. This is the golden rule in any business. When an adult needs to be corrected, saying it once is enough — insisting repeatedly is rude. Persistently warning someone in front of others only humiliates that person and, in turn, makes you look small in front of everyone.
Last night at dinner, you scolded my wife in front of me and your guests simply because she accidentally entered the restaurant wearing indoor slippers. She politely asked you for a minute to change them, but you refused and kept repeating the same warning over and over again. Your attitude regarding the slippers was wrong. I remained silent because I didn’t want to ruin my evening or escalate the situation.
If you ignore this feedback, you will continue to make others go through the same unpleasant experience you caused us. With the attitude and level of awareness you’ve shown, I wish you good luck in...
Read moreRead what I wrote very carefully; it might save your life for at least one night. I've traveled to 40 countries and have never been treated this way. This is my third trip to Japan, and I don't think the owner is Japanese. Why? We came a long way that day and were extremely tired, and we were having trouble understanding certain things. The dining area is inside the hotel, and I left wearing the slippers from my room. While I was filming a video, he came back and told me I needed to change my slippers (in a very curt manner). I should have known better when he didn't even say, "How are you?" when I asked him how I was when I entered the door. I had seconds to finish the video, so I said, "Just a minute." He yelled at me, "Right now," among the other guests. This could have gotten worse. The owner, unfortunately, has serious problems and isn't friendly. Furthermore, he stated everything on his website, but he didn't mention the countless large insects in the rooms. I could be allergic, anything could happen; it...
Read moreThis was such a fun and unique night’s stay for our group of 5! The hostel is located close to Shirakawa-go and it had everything we needed, from the onsen, sauna, restaurant and bar! The owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay and the attention to detail was superb. The beds were so comfortable, the food was fantastic. There were SO many vegan and vegetarian options for me, along with meat and fish for my friends. It was fascinating learning where each of our fresh vegetables came from the nearby mountain and farm. Even the ketchup is homemade! The drinks were delicious and the music and disco ball was a total vibe. We can’t recommend it here enough! We just wished we...
