Shizukuishi Soul Kitchen — Restaurant in Shizukuishi

This is one of the few pizza places in Japan that reminds me of home. The chef is a kind person who has experience with various pizza styles (Detroit-style, Chicago style deep-dish, Sicilian style etc.)

My wife and I especially love the carbonara pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza w/ ranch dressing. Both are consistently delicious. You can even request a half/half pizza if you're feeling indecisive.

Even though we live more than three hours away, we try to make a trip out to Morioka every few months to visit this shop. It's really impossible to find pizza like this anywhere else in Japan so trust me, it's worth the journey. The chef will make you feel at...

We loved it. A passionate pizza maker making delicious pizza in different ways to satisfy our group of 7. The owner was surprised by our large group arriving at 7pm but he took it all with grace. Making us tasty hot pizzas that went down so well after a day on the slopes. He even taught us the Japanese word for delicious 😋 Our favourite flavours were Greek and Funghi - both vegetarian options which us meat-lovers loved. The Greek & Rihanna pizzas come with huge fresh basil leaves - surprising but refreshing for the snowy season.
