Dining Funkatei — Restaurant in Sobetsu

The environment is nice and near to the ropewqy station. However, the food is below average. Too salty which is terrible to taste and cannot taste too much. So it is difficult to finish the ramen without drinking a lot of water. And there is only one thin piece of meat inside. Pork Cutlet Don and Pork Cutlet with meat sauce. A surprisingly good find that I wasn't expecting at a tourist spot.

Cutlet Don was about under 1000¥ and the Cutlet with meat sauce set was at 1500¥ (all before tax).

Cutlets are really delicious being soft with a nice batter. Though not a local speciality it's worth a try if you're pondering...

The “volcano ramen” was very mild on the spiciness scale which was disappointing. The miso ramen was… just fine. Overall not terrible but also not terribly exciting.

Given the limited food options at the Usuzan Ropeway, it gets the job done for hunger satisfaction, but one should not expect...
