Fukuyoshi — Restaurant in Tatebayashi

Awesome! Had a team dinner here up stairs in one of the private rooms. Very traditional Japanese style setting and with chairs for comfort. We had the kaiseki course meal and were in for a pleasant surprise. Please come prepared to eat...a lot. The food quality was very high and portions were large. As a big eater, this place is the first in my over 2.5 years in Japan that I could not finish my meal. Everything was so so good! The individually sautéed beef in butter on the table was magnificent! Tender and flavorful. The crispy sole that is completely edible was a taste sensation. Of course the Tonkatsu was crunchy yet so tender. So flavorful. Came here because nothing else was open for a late lunch at 3pm... Atmosphere was reasonably peaceful, and I liked being able to sit at the counter and watch them cook... food was pretty good, and not a bad price at all; a little more than I'd usually spend but pretty worth it! Nice exterior design, and the other areas where groups sit looked lovely, though the counters were not the most relaxed/comfortable seating area... service was mostly friendly, though one of the staff seemed to be staring daggers at me. I don't think they get many foreigners, maybe that's why, but it was not so nice to be getting glared at...

先日嫁さんと２歳の息子の3人で伺いました。嫁さんはビーフシチュー、子供はブーブーランチ、私はヒレカツの定食をいただきましたが、私個人の意見としては値段の割にはたいした事はない。むしろ近所にあるチェーン店のカツ◯さんの方が衣がサクサク（揚げ物とキャベツが別に提供されるから揚げ物にキャベツの水分がいかずに衣がサクサク）お肉も柔らかく、ソースの味も自分好みおまけにスタッフさんの対応もどこの店舗も並に良いです。おまけに美味しいですしね。それにまだまだ近所に在る木◯屋さんの方がコスパも良いし美味しいし…桐生にもここより値段が安くて老舗の美味しいお店が数店あります。ここのお店の個人的にダメだと感じたところは、残念ながらスタッフさん（中年の男性）の対応が良くありませんでした。ホールの責任者かなぁ？伺った日は混んでいた夜の7時半位です。伺った時はウチの息子がMAX寝起きで機嫌悪くて店中に響き渡るくらい泣き叫んでお店側と当時お食事をなさっていたお客さん方にご迷惑を掛けました。その事で、帰り際ウチの妻がレジウチの対応してくださった方（四十代後半の方でしたか？）へ『ウチの息子が大変大声で泣き叫んでご迷惑おかけしました』と謝罪をした時の態度が…体は斜め向き、言葉は【あっ…はい。💢】って受け答えで、不機嫌そうな対応で終わりです。食事が運ばれてきても食べれずに店内の通路で嫁さんが泣いている息子をあやしている時に３回ほどジロジロと見に来るだけで声をかけるでもなしで無言の圧力…まぁ〜書いていたらキリがないのでやめますが、食事をなさっていたお客さんの方がよっぽど優しく声をかけてくださいました。席を立つ人立つ人一人一人に嫁さんが謝らせて頂きました。（不快に思われていた皆さん本当に御免なさい）さて値段の割には味、接客は大した事はありませんでした。なのでお情けの星１つ...
