鮨匠・なか川 — Restaurant in Tateyama

i'm reluctant to give a mediocre review to this place on account of the welcoming and friendly chef and what seems to be a small business however, there's an opinion to be told here

the good: cooked to perfection, juicy, and crispy, the grilled fish collar was splendid!

the not-so-good: we ordered the local-style omakase sushi, which we were served many pieces of whitefish with little difference between their shared lack of flavour and fat however, it's fair to fault my palate and me for not putting in any preference and requests

the worrying: we went on a weekend for dinner, and we were the only customers during the whole time

Nice sushi restaurant vibes. English menu is easy to read. The sushi chef is very professional and helpful. Seafood is fresh and delicious. I would definitely visit again. I would also recommend the sushi restaurant to those visiting...

平日火曜日にランチで一人で訪問。 １１時半開店と思って１２時頃行くと今日は１２時半からとの張り紙があるので周辺を散策しつつ待つことにした。 １２時半過ぎにお店に入ると先客はなく、ご主人らしき人が奥から出てきてカウンターに通される。

お任せ房州寿司3,450円を注文、待っている間カウンターの冷蔵庫を覗いてネタでも見ようと思ったがなぜか何も入っていない。。。（後でお店の人が、故障中ですみませんと謝っていたのでこれは一時的なことのようですが。。。） 仕方なくテレビを見ながら待っていたが、カウンターなので握った順に出してくれるのかな？と思ったが、一人前をすべて作ってお皿で一度に出すスタイル。 小鉢が３種類とお味噌汁もついていた。

お寿司には玉子以外はすべてアナゴの煮切りダレのような特製のタレがついているので初めてなこともあり醤油は使わないで食べみた。（醤油と食べ比べできるメニューもあったのでそっちでも良いかなとも思いました）

旬の地魚でもありそれなりに美味しかったです...
