Pizzeria Terreno — Restaurant in Tokoname

The owner seemed to not want to serve us. Not sure if it’s because he doesn’t like foreigners(except my husband who’s Japanese) or because we had a baby. We (3 adults, one baby) were turned away at the door by the owner who said they didn’t have space. There did seem to be space for us since there were two empty tables, but anywho. We then asked if we could order for takeaway. The owner abruptly said no, because it’s a “service concept restaurant” 🤔. My husband and I scratched our heads. WOW! I think I have had pizza this good, but I can't be sure. Pizza crust is nutty and light with a whole wheat taste. Ingredients are super fresh. You must try the side dish - Gimotto yasai - assorted veggies grilled in the wood fired oven. OMG! Plus a staff and chef who are super friendly and happy to have you enjoying their food. Great food, great music, great atmosphere, super friendly and superb service! Definitely must visit, and a change from the usual Japanese food when you travel in Japan.
