Kyoeigama — Restaurant in Tokoname

This place is beautiful and the drinks were pretty good, but I wish they could sort a few things out. The menu items are misleading. The appetizer platter (which prominently features cheese in the picture) came with no cheese at all. For the price we paid, we kind of felt scammed. The staff were really friendly, but I think they may be severely understaffed. We had an average wait of about 30 mins per dish. We had to remind the staff twice about our orders, and the wrong dish was served to our table once too. We were idly chatting for 4 hours, so it didn't bother us so much, but I can't imagine having to wait so long for food at dinner time. You could also see tons of glasses stacked up on a table because there was no one available...

Friendly and warm staff who were happy to share information about the old kiln building. Food was excellent although servings were mediocre. Only issue I had was with the 500 yen cover charge. Didn't understand why they imposed it even though we ordered drinks dinner...

Amazing bistro built into an old tile manufacturing space—we only went for cocktails but the service was excellent! Hashimoto-san was an excellent bartender who entertained us for the evening and introduced us to some very special Japanese spirits. We hope to visit...
