元々地元の人間で、昔から折に触れて出前をお願いしたり、法事でお邪魔していました。

久々に、法事で個室を利用したところ、個室の責任者らしい女性スタッフについて、驚く対応が予約段階から何度かありました。

電話で法事である旨を伝え予約し、以前お願いしたことがある、法事向けのコースメニューがあるか尋ねたところ、「うちは鰻屋だから鰻しかない」と仰りどんなメニューがありますか、と伺うと「メニューはホームページに載っている」（今は昔と変わって、鰻のみ、またはサラダやフルーツが付くメニューのみになった、と後ほど説明くださいました）と仰り、若干気になりましたが他界した父親が好きな鰻だったので我慢し予約しました。

当日伺ったところ、こちらが予約のうち一つが陰膳である旨を伝えていなかったのが悪いのですが、遺骨を台に乗せたりすることがお願いできたりするか尋ねたところ、「無理です」「聞いてないので」という仰り方でした（サラダ等のセットでお願いしてしまっていたのをうな重のみにする対応は先方からしてくださいました）。

後ほど改めて来られ、良かれと思ってお声がけくださったのだと思いますが、「ホネは机の上にあげますか」と聞かれました。小学生の息子もびっくりしたらしく、帰り道「おじいちゃんのお骨をホネって言ってた」と怒っていました。

ただ、うなぎは変わらず美味しく、皆でいただきました。

行列が絶えない流行っているお店で、お忙しいかとも思い、悪気ない率直な言葉遣いなのだと思うのですが、予約と当日の短いやり取りの中で、うっ、と言葉に詰まるような対応が数多くありました。

法事や会食のような、お店のフォローをお願いしたいような場面ではもう伺うのが難しいかも、と親族で話していました。母親も先代？のお母様が応対くださったころは、こんなことはなかったんだけど、父親が好きだった鰻は変わらず美味しかったんだけど、と残念がっていました。
