Wonderful, wonderful ramen. We got there and hadn't been to a ramen shop in Tokyo yet, so were unfamiliar with having to buy a ticket at the machine before going to sit at the counter. A man very kindly mustered all of his English to help us understand. It was super rewarding. It's like this:
Get a ticket from the machine. Using a translator app really helps if you don't speak Japanese as there is no English. Pay in cash. Base soup and toppings are separate tickets. Grab a wet towel on the way to your seat and a water if you want it. Go to the counter. Give the cook your tickets. Wait. You get your food. Enjoy. Put your used stuff on the counter and put your towel and any trash in their place...

(bring cash), grab your towel and water yourself, sit down, show ticket to the chef and not even 10 minutes later you enjoy your delicious ramen.
