喫茶ベル — Restaurant in Tokyo

Estimated about 20 seats in a narrow layout. Feels like an old "snack" place and quite tobacco friendly. Kind of place a crowd of regulars hangs out, and several of them here now. Small TV with the baseball game on. No Wi-Fi and the Rakuten Mobile connection was too weak for studying. Unusually inexpensive, especially for the pasta.

Coffee is okay and overall four stars, but not a strong four stars.

My old review appears below, though I'm not sure what the confusion was about. Doesn't seem unusual now, though a bit smoky for my taste.

I'm going to call it three stars on the confusion. On the left side of the door there's a sign that says he's open for business, which is what Google Maps thought, but on the door itself there's a smaller sign that says he's preparing for business. Which is it? From the outside, it looked interesting and I went in and he confirmed it's not open right now. I had never noticed it before, but it's actually not a bad location though I'm not sure I'll ever come back again to actually give it a proper test with the usual...

【感想】 コーヒー280円からしてわかると思いますが、地域密着の喫茶店という趣です。大きな特徴はありませんが長年の積み重ねた雰囲気がほんとたまりません。そしてトーストセットという名のサンドイッチも素晴らしく美味しかったです。他のフードメニューも是非食べてみたい❗️ /2019秋

上石神井駅から北に10分ほど歩いて住宅街に入ったところにあるレトロな喫茶店。 ゲーム機のテーブル久しぶりに見ました。

時代が置いてけぼりにされたのかと思うような値段にびっくり。 安すぎますね。

トーストセットは玉子トーストとコーヒーに。 このボリュームでくるとは。 玉子は甘めの玉子焼きでこれが意外に美味しい。 パンの耳も別で焼いて無駄にしてないのもいい。

ポテトグラタンはたっぷりのじゃがいもに玉ねぎとベーコンの入ったベシャメルがかかってチーズのせて焼かれています。 熱々でボリュームがあってお得。
