Cannery Row N — Restaurant in Tokyo

We went here after discovering a restaurant in the same chain when visiting Nagoya. The Nagoya one is amazing with a great salad bar with olives, croutons, and other salad toppings. The pizza was great and they even had to go pizza boxes for left overs. When coming to the Hachioji one we were somewhat disappointed. There were some great options at the salad bar in terms of sides, but for salad there was only lettuce, cabbage, onion, and carrots for toppings. It was not nearly the array of toppings seen at the other franchisee. Additionally, the pizzas appeared to all have normal tomato sauce base on the menu and nothing different was listed. However, both pizzas we got had a really weird sauce on them that was not a tomato base and tasted extremely gross. It was like a dark brown sauce with a flavor that is hard to describe, but it ruined the otherwise good pizza. The dessert bar saved the day and was as almost as equally good as the Nagoya one. Only difference was the Nagoya one had a gelato freezer in addition to the regular dessert bar. This particular franchisee could step it up a bit and have a fabulous restaurant. They just need to expand their salad toppings and change their pizza sauce to a tomato base. We were excited to find one of these somewhat close to us but disappointed that it did not live up to the reputation of other Cannery Row...

I’ve passed this place for something like 10 years, and now I’m so happy we finally dropped by today for lunch. It’s a blessing to know there’s such a great foodie place close to home. The appetizer bar is a pure winner. Tastes like a genuine home-cooked meal, super fresh ingredients and everything is done just right. Best move is order a pizza as the entree, then ask the staff to box it for take home(unless you’ve got a roomy gullet). One of my favorites restaurant that I would always like to visit. They have two main dishes that you can choose from SPAGHETTI or PIZZA. Their side dishes are buffet and you will really enjoy them. You will be full just from the side dishes. You just need to write your name and how many of you are before their restaurant opens so you can get to the first batch from 11:00 to 1:00 pm.
