We didn't have the best weather for our visit which probably didn't help but found the price to be far too expensive for what was available. Perhaps on a nice sunny evening you'd justify it for the experience but the quality of the food offered was far too poor and the portions too small for the ticket price and the seating under a tent was cramped, hot and sweaty. There's far better, and more reasonably priced, beer gardens and tabehoudai options available.
I'd also seen several mentions of it being "suitable for kids" which might be the case if you mean they can run off while you eat and drink but there was no alternative food options or provisions made for them. The place is outside, and has little air conditioning apart from a few scattered fans. This, in the height of Tokyo summer and coupled with lots of open fires, made it uncomfortably hot. (A thermometer registered 42 degrees at one point!)
We had a nice enough time, though the price (5000¥ for 2 hours) seemed a little expensive for what what was on offer. I recommend visiting in cooler...
Read moreNot really a bad place but, the opening hours are quite limited and not convenient, and the environment isn't that nice. Other than that, usual all-you-can-drink all-you-can-eat with barbecue-style food. Everything is quite fat, but it's probably what you're looking for there. You can choose different kinds of beer and some other alcohols. Food orders come quite quickly and the staff is responsive. Better drink and eat quite quickly if you want to make it worth the...
