GRAS Restaurant — Restaurant in Tokyo

Went to this lovely hidden gem for celebrating our wedding anniversary there. The interior is unique cute. This place is run by a very friendly and skilled couple. Husband is the chef and wife is customer-facing. We ordered pate as appetiser, followed by beef cheek bourguignon and roasted lamb with potato rosti. For dessert, we had crème brulee. The wonderful thing about the pate was that it was made in pastry crust which is unusual. The restaurants normally would not be bothered, but they made an effort and this very nice touch to the dish. If you see this much effort in the appetiser main dish would unlikely disappoint. The beef cheek melted in the mouth. The sauce was rich and sophisticatedly seasoned. It was even better than those I have tried in France. The roasted lamb is beyond standard because the meat quality was phenomenal. Roasted to perfection. No chewy parts at all. The dessert was authentic and delicious. Very crispy burnt top. The other incredible thing about this place was their wine selection. We had sparkling wine, red wine and sherry. All are smooth and well paired with their food. The owners were very friendly and showed genuine interest in their guests. We had many pleasant chats with them throughout the dinner.
