Kōrakuen — Restaurant in Tokyo

Sanuki ramen! This is my favorite spot for shoyu ramen. The yellow noodles are firm, chewy, silky, and slippery and remind me of Sanuki udon. They give a lot of hot broth with a dashi umami. One thing I hate about the famous ramen places is they give you so little broth!

The char siu is nice and chewy and doesn’t fall apart. For 690 yen you can get a bowl of shoyu ramen + side order of gyoza. I ate there today and they were the only restaurant open on New Year's Day!

For those who give poor reviews of Korakuen, there are only 3 locations in the Kanto area! So you should be thankful there is a location near you, instead of...

This is Japanese traditional style Ramen. I ordered Miso-Ramen this time. What's special about this ramen was nostalgia. I mean compared to other modern ramen, it doesn't have something special, but it realizes great balance and has sufficient quantity. I don't know why they get us remember nostalgia, but with the fact that this type of ramen used to be the major kind a few decades ago, everybody has eaten this type of ramen at least a few times, it might be no doubt to remember nostalgia. We, Japanese people, genetically share the common sense to like this...

接客が終わっている。特に一番背の高い男性、客に正対しようとしていない。 ボソボソ喋って後ろ手にレシートを席に無造作におく。しかも後ろ向いて。また、生ジョッキ缶を提供していながらグラスを出すなど、意図も不明。グラス使わないよね。生ジョッキ缶の意味ないですよね。

お店のスタンスとしても、モツ鍋などの限定メニューや卵をつかったメニューがことごとく販売中止。しかもアナウンスもない。メニューにマジックでバツが塗っているのと、タブレットで説明なく選択できないようにしている。なので、客としてはなぜか選択できないタブレットの項目をひたすらプッシュしても反応がなく、店員を呼び出して理由を聞いて、ようやく販売していないとわかる状態である。 こちらも客に正対するつもりがないとしか思えない。

朝限定のメニューもやらなくなるとのこと。

これらを象徴してか、利用者の反応も正直で、お店も夜のピーク（4/28金の19:00ごろ）でありながら駐車場はガラガラ、店内もガラガラ。アイドルタイムです。自分含めて３組しか客がおらずらカウンターは一席も埋まっていない。
