Kona's Coffee Tama Newtown — Restaurant in Tokyo

So I’m having a great time with my wife for lunch and then the people sitting at the table adjacent to us leaves, after a few minutes one of the people sitting at the other returns and looks around their table searching for something. Soon after staff members come over to assist the person as she had lost something. Upon finding nothing a few minutes later staff member comes to our table and ask if we had seen a cellphone that the woman lost or misplaced, we kindly replied no we hadn’t seen anything and so they left. Then after a few more minutes the staff returns to our table and asked again if we had seen the cellphone or noticed any suspicious activity around the table that the woman was sitting at. Now I’m getting pissed off because we already told them that we did not notice anything at all, I felt that my experience was being ruined because of another customer’s negligence. After a few more minutes the woman who lost her phone comes to our table and asks us directly if we had seen the phone. I AM GETTING REALLY ANGRY AND AT THIS POINT IM GLAD THAT I HAD ALREADY FINISHED MY MEAL. We kindly replied no again. My wife calms me down but I’m still upset but I keep my cool. A few minutes pass and a staff member comes to the table and tells us that the woman found her phone in her car and light heartedly apologizes . I DO NOT CARE! I felt targeted as doing something wrong and my experience had become more of an interrogation than a good meal out. I’m disappointed with the staff and they should have handled it...

I had been looking forward to Kona's Coffee coming to the neighborhood so I went with my family on their opening day. They must have brought in some experienced kitchen staff from other locations because everything was perfectly prepared and tasted great. My daughters couldn't finish their pancakes and unfortunately they didn't have take-out boxes, but we'll know better next time. Amazing food with amazing western flavors. The menu is in Japanese but they have photo descriptions of almost every menu item to choose from. The variety of chicken flavors were perfect. Reminded me of the flavors I got in America and some parts of Hawaii. I didn’t try the alcoholic drinks this time since I drove there but the coffee was delicious. The sugar levels in the drinks are low and we’re still pretty tasty I think. It felt healthier lol. I will go back with friends again soon.
