I ordered the “Mos cheeseburger” with a soy patty, as I’m a vegetarian. BIG MISTAKE! After I started eating it, on closer inspection, I noticed that there were tiny pieces of meat in the sauce! I immediately asked the employees about this and they said all the items that say “Mos” use that sauce! When I explained that I’m a vegetarian and that’s why I ordered the soy patty in the first place, they said some customers did the same but aren’t vegetarian, so they aren’t bothered by the meat in the sauce. Fair enough. They told me the item I wanted is just called “cheeseburger”, which comes with ketchup on top. They immediately remade my order, and the kindest lady brought it to me and apologized. We had a nice talk about the misunderstanding, and I was very appreciative of her great communication skills and attentiveness that you don’t always find in Japan! This lady should get a promotion for her ability to interact with customers naturally and effectively! She even went the extra step and brought me ¥200 which was the price difference in the burgers! I’ve never seen that in all my years living in Japan. BRAVO!
