New Chiang Mai — Restaurant in Tokyo

I’m so sorry to have to give this place one star. Here’s why: Ordering one drink per person is mandatory. It’s not optional. The restaurant successfully ordered us to give them an extra bit of cash in the short term. In the long term, they’ll get nothing. The glassware tasted of soap/alcohol cleaner. We ordered three dishes - fried spring rolls, tomyam kung ramen, and pad thai. None of them carried any particular flavour. The noodles were way over cooked and mushy, and the shrimps also had the consistency of paste. The restaurant itself is more like a room, with a hidden corridor to the side that runs to the kitchen. The staff are often nowhere to be seen.

I was excited to come here, but hugely disappointed with pretty much every aspect. The tastiest thing was the chilli pepper condiment. So, with regret,...

A great spot for Thai food. Super small with only 10 seats. It has the traditional Thai menu, but with a Chiang Mai twist. Khao Soi is one of my favorite dishes and the one here was a solid rendition. The owners and staff were absolutely wonderful. Very approachable and accommodating....

久しぶりに好みのタイ料理屋さん、見つけました！

タイ料理の中ではパッタイの次に好きな麺料理カオソイ。 どなたかの「都内でいちばん濃厚なカオソイ」というレビューに惹かれ行ってきました。

無駄な装飾のない内装とか、厨房が客席から見える感じとか、なにより店名と外観がめちゃくちゃ現地感あって期待できます！

2名がけテーブルが6卓とかなりコンパクトな店内。 人数によってテーブルをくっつけ拡張する仕組みです。

土曜日12:30頃入店するとすでに満席。テイクアウトのお客さんがひっきりなしにやってくるので人気店ですね。

パッタイ、ガパオなどの定番から、タイラーメン、炒め物など…ランチメニューは全部で16種類。

カオソイはチキンと牛すねの2種類あり。 カオソイに種類があるのがユニーク。 メニューの中でいちばん高い＆おすすめの「牛すねカオソイ」を注文しました。

レビュー通り、とんでもなく濃厚！ 無水調理してるの？ってくらいの濃さで、カレースープというよりもカレーです。 牛すねは大きなのが4枚くらい入ってて、ホロホロの柔らかさ。

ライム（レモンじゃなくて）やオニオンが別添えなのが気が利いてます。

そしてボリュームもすごい！ 麺は普通サイズで大盛と錯覚するレベル。 隣の方の料理もボリューム大で、どれも美味しそう。

カオソイには小ライスがサービスで付けられますが、これは不可避！ エプロンも必須です（私はメガネにもカレースープが飛んでた…）。

サラダ、デザート付きで1,350円。 私は大満足でした。

敢えて言わせていただくと カレースープが濃厚すぎて、とにかく喉が乾きます。 お茶の入ったグラスがとても小さいため、なんどもホールのお兄さんを呼び止めてお茶のお代わりをいただくのが気が引けました。 いっそ、ピッチャーを各卓に置いてほしい…。

あと、麺が一部ごっそり固まってたのは残念。
